Taking Care Of Your Reborn Baby

A beautiful, high quality, hand painted and rooted Reborn, is truly a “Work of Art” and should be treated as such.  These babies should not be considered toys or playthings.  They can be held and cuddled gently just like any newborn, but they still need to be treated with great tender care, as you would any unique piece of art work, to avoid permanent damage.

• A high quality Reborn is a  unique three dimensional painting on silicone/vinyl.
  

• They are best displayed out of direct Sunlight.
  

• They are not considered toys, but works of art.
  

• The hair is most often hand rooted using the finest Angora Mohair, and the brush can be dampened to style the hair.
  

• You can rub a bit of hair gel or mousse on your hands and use sparingly to help hold the style an keep down frizzies.
  

• Be gentle as hard or heavy brushing could break the mohair fibers, and cause hair loss and  broken, frizzy ends to occur.
  

• DO NOT USE any type of cleaners or solvents on the face or skin as discoloration and damage will occur.
  

• A damp soft cloth is ok to use if it ever becomes necessary to clean a spot on the skin. Most cleaning can be done with a  soft brush or compressed air.
  

• Avoid rubbing the skin with excessive baby powder as this can cause some types of paints to turn shiny.
  

• Always treat this baby as you would a delicate newborn or fine artist painting.
  

• For Reborns mde with silicone, you can use a light coating of cornstarch or talc from time to time, to keep it soft and lint free.  Use a  soft makeup brush to clean off the excess powder.
  

• With proper care and handling,your new Reborn baby can bring you generations of fun and cherished memories.
  

• Avoid letting your Reborn be exposed to cigarette smoke as the smell will be retained in the skin.
